<p>A method for monitoring the state of the media gateway controller by the media gateway, sets a inactivity timer or a general timer and a message reception f lag in the said media gateway to monitor a silence period of the said media gateway controller, and when the silence period reaches timeout, sends a notify message to the media gateway controller to trigger the media gateway controller to return a message that proves the normal state. After the said media gateway logs on the media gateway controller, the media gateway initiates the inactivity timer or the general timer in according to the returned a message of registering successfully, and begins to monitor the state of the media gateway controller. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007</p> |
