A memory module and a memory system equipped with the same are provided to selectively enable memory chips in response to multiple chip select signals applied from the outside by including multiple chip select pins. The memory chips(101-108) input/output data by responding to a command and address signal applied from the outside, and are installed to a single rank. The chip select signals respectively receive the chip select signals applied from the outside and apply the received chip select signal to at least one memory chip. The memory chips(111,112) are enabled when the applied chip select signal is a high level and the memory chips are disabled when the applied chip select signal is a low level. The memory chips are a DRAM and the chip select signals are able to have the same signal level.
