A drug for accelerating memory fixation which contains, as the active ingredient, an unnatural type retinoid, preferably a retinoid having a fundamental skeleton wherein an aromatic ring is bonded to an aromatic carboxylic acid or tropolone via a linking group and still preferably 4- [(5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-5,5,8,8-tetramehtyl-2-naphthalenyl)carbamoyl]benzoic acid or 4-[(3,5-bistrimethylsilylphenyl)carboxamide]benzoic acid. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
