The proposed heterogeneous contact pair contains a movable contact and a fixed contact withy planar contact surfaces, which are made of composite metallic materials. One of the contacts is cylindrical and made of alloy reinforced with a wire mesh made of refractory metal. The second contact is cylindrical and made of alloy of tungsten and copper.
