A method for treatment of products of animal origin before storage includes treatment of products by short pulses of ultraviolet radiation with radiant energy of 0.3-1.4 kJ/m2, at that speed of conveyer with the product is calculated in such manner that each part of the product obtain not less than 12 pulses UV-radiation and total time of the product treatment makes 1-3 minutes.
