The method involves guiding exhaust gases (1) over an exhaust-gas temperature sensor (4), and providing the temperature changes of the exhaust gas as a measure for the relative changes of the exhaust gas flows, where the sensor is inserted into a low-resistance measuring bridge. Diffusion and/or absorption of the exhaust gases is determined, where the relative change of the exhaust gas flows is monitored for determination of the fast load-cycle changes of a diesel engine. An independent claim is also included for a device for examining exhaust gases in a diesel engine. |
