The invention relates to a method and a device for the continuous production of elastomer mixtures (elastomer compounds). An elastomer (1) which is present in a liquid medium in the form of evenly distributed particles and a slurry (2) containing filler particles are supplied to a first processing region (10). In the first processing region, shear flows and extension flows are impressed onto the elastomer particles (1) which are evenly distributed in the liquid medium and onto the slurry (2) of filler particles, which have both been supplied to said first processing region (10), in such a way that an at least partial division and/or distribution of the filler particles and/or an incorporation of the filler particles (2) into the elastomer particles (1) is carried out. The product obtained from the first processing region is supplied to a second processing region (20), in which the product is subjected to other shear, extension and compression effects, leading to its plastification and/or mastication.
