<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus in which it is discriminated whether or not a memory is mounted by reading data from a preset read region, without writing data into the memory, and applying the read data to a prepared algorithm. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus capable of additionally mounting therein a nonvolatile memory previously storing a predetermined program or reference data, in which a predetermined read region and an algorithm for discriminating data property are prepared, comprises a control means that determines whether the nonvolatile memory is mounted or not by accessing the specified read region of the nonvolatile memory when a power source is turned on, and applying the algorithm to read data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
