PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor capable of increasing constrained torque/mass. SOLUTION: A DC motor has a stator having a magnet with 6-poles, and a commutator 108 having 24 segments, and includes an armature 103 formed being wound by a concentrated windings around an armature core 107 with eight slots, and an anode side and a cathode side brushes 109a, 109b for supplying electric power supply, while slidingly coming into contact with the segments. The armature core 107 lies within the range of 3.2 to 5.6 for the flattening ratio of (D/L), which is given by dividing own diameter D by own axial length L, and is set at 3.8.
