PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine with a generator facilitated in assembling workability, and an assembling method of the engine with the generator. SOLUTION: In the engine 10 with the generator, a piton 14 is connected to a crankshaft 16, a charge coil 24 of the generator 20 is arranged on the same axis of the crankshaft 16, the charge coil 24 is fixed to a crankcase 12, a flywheel 25 is arranged on the same axis of the charge coil 24, and a plurality of magnets 26 arranged at the flywheel 25 are arranged at peripheries of a plurality of iron cores 32 mounted on the charge coil 24. The engine 10 with the generator is provided with a locking means 28 that locks the flywheel 25 to the crankshaft 16 so that the center 79 of the magnets 26 coincides with the center 77 of a pair of the adjacent iron cores 32, 32 of the plurality of iron cores 32 in a state that the pitons 15 is positioned at an upper dead point P1.
