<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stably supplying power from an optimum power supply source to a scanner section in response to the electric energy consumed by the scanner section. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the scanner section 20 with an elevator mechanism; a power supply unit 13 for supplying power to a load; an electric charge storage section 12 capable of storing electric power; and an MCU 31 that decides whether the power supply source to the scanner section 20 is the power supply unit 13 or the electric charge storage section 12 depending on the electric energy stored in the electric charge storage section 12 and mobile position information of an original platen. Thus, the image forming apparatus can stably supply the power from the optimum power supply source to the scanner section 20 depending on the electric energy consumed by the scanner section 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
