PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator for mainly preserving foods and ice convenient in use and easy in storage management. SOLUTION: A light source 13 using a LED element is installed in at least one storage chamber of the refrigerator. A temperature in the storage chamber is switched in association with the color tone of light emitted from the light source 13 to make the temperature or foods to be preserved easily imageable from the color tone of the light. Thus, a user can check at a glance the temperature condition in the storage chamber and is urged to store foods adequate to the temperature condition in the storage chamber.
