PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil cooler capable of easily and stably fixing a patch plate while applying components of the same shape in all of element portion. SOLUTION: Each element portion 5 is composed of a pair of upper and lower shells 6, 7 having plate-shaped peripheral edges, cylindrical portions 6a, 7a are formed on end portions of the shells 6, 7, the cylindrical portions 6a, 7a of the element portions 5 adjacent to each other are caulked to communicate with respective end portions of the element portions 5, and the patch plate 13 is provided with a first circular portion 13a kept into contact with the lower shell 7 of the element portion 5b, an inner groove 13c capable of receiving the cylindrical portion 7a of the lower shell 7, and a second circular portion 13b for allowing the patch plate to be held on a heat exchanging portion 1 by being caulked to the cylindrical portion 7a of the lower shell 7 by expanding its diameter.
