AN INLET PORT FOR MEDICAL APPARATUS

A medical apparatus inlet port (310) is provided for receiving supplementary gas from a supply line (140). The port (310) can be used in conjunction with medical apparatus which receive gas under pressure such a manual resuscitator (120). An interrupted supply of gas (typically oxygen) is critical for such apparatus. The port (310) has positive engagement means (370) for providing an interlocked association with a supply line to prevent the supply line from being forced off the port in use.
