PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnostic apparatus surely and smoothly executing processes while enhancing the speed of an image formation process. SOLUTION: This medical image diagnostic apparatus is provided with a plurality of image processing units 17i including a preprocessing section 42i and a plurality of reconstruction sections (i), a data distribution section 31 distributing data collected by a gantry 2 into two or more partial data, a unit specification section 32 distributing the two or more partial data into a plurality of units 17i, data transmission/receiving section 41A, an ID management section 35 providing same ID to two or more partial projection data generated by the preprocessing section 42i based on the distributed two or more partial data and two or more partial images reconstructed by a reconstruction section 43i based on the two or more partial projection data respectively, and an image composition section 33 composing the two or more partial images by referring to the provided ID and forming an image showing the internal form of a subject.
