FLAT FLUORESCENT LAMP AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A flat fluorescent lamp and an LCD having the same are provided to prevent mercury disposed in discharge spaces from attaching onto fluorescent films and a reflective film, thereby improving the brightness, by forming the fluorescent films and the reflective film on outer surfaces of lower and upper substrates. A lower substrate(110) and an upper substrate(120) are coupled with each other to form a plurality of discharge spaces(160). A first fluorescent film(130) is formed on an outer surface of the lower substrate. A second fluorescent film(140) is formed on an outer surface of the upper substrate. A reflective film(150) is formed on the first fluorescent film. A discharge gas containing mercury is disposed within the discharge spaces.
