<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of an image forming apparatus, which idles a heating roller 102 after printing ends, during printing actuation of a following print job. <P>SOLUTION: A continuous printing quantity detecting means 115 once detecting the final page of the print job from a gap between printing media passing through a fixing unit 30 detects the number of pages included in the print job, and an idling time setting means 116 sets an idling time of the heating roller 102 after the completion of the printing of the final page based upon the number of pages received from the continuous printing quantity detecting means 115. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
