IMAGE FORMING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of performing appropriate power supply management.

SOLUTION: The image forming device is equipped with a controller section 101 and an engine section 103. When a main power supply switch 105 is turned on, the engine section 103 and the controller section 101 independently detect the state of a sub-power supply switch 107. When the start processing of the controller section 101 is finished and the connection state with the engine section 103 is secured, only the CPU 201 of the controller section 101 detects the state of the sub-power supply switch 107 to perform power supply control. The engine section 103 performs the control of power-interruption based on the indication from the controller 101 without independently performing the control of power-interruption.
