ABSORBENT FOR REMOVING METHANOL IN ETHANOL

摘要

An absorbent for removing methanol in ethanol is provided to separate the methanol with low energy consumption and low initial investment cost. The adsorbent consists of the zeolite powder with the minute hole size of 2-5 angstrom or the zeolite molding materials. The zeolite powder with the minute hole size of 2-5 angstrom is mixed with a binder and water and is molded, and the molded materials is heated and cooled, so that the zeolite molding materials is formed. When using the zeolite powder with the minute hole size of 2-5 angstrom, the methanol of above 90% is removed from the ethanol although there is a slight fluctuation.
