A nozzle arrangement includes a substrate that incorporates drive circuitry and defines an ink inlet channel. A nozzle chamber structure is arranged on the substrate and defines an ink chamber in fluid communication with the ink inlet channel and an ink ejection port in fluid communication with the ink chamber. A post extends from the substrate and is spaced from the nozzle chamber structure. An elongate thermal actuator mechanism is fast with the post at one end and is connected to the drive circuitry via the post and extends from the post. The thermal actuator mechanism is reciprocally displaceable with respect to the substrate on receipt of an electrical signal from the drive circuitry. A paddle is positioned within the ink chamber and is connected to the thermal actuator mechanism to be displaced reciprocally on reciprocating movement of the thermal actuator mechanism thereby to eject ink in the ink chamber from the ink ejection port.
