A server for making a call connection between the persons related to a memorial day and a method thereof are provided to inform a service subscriber of a commemoration day through a short message so that a call can be rapidly and conveniently made between the service subscriber and a person associated with the commemoration day. A user is registered as a subscriber of an anniversary notification service in a service server at a user's request(S601,S602). The subscriber accesses the service server and registers his/her memorial days(S603,S604). The service server, as soon as memorial days are registered, executes a monitoring function for the registered memorial days(S605). If one of the registered memorial days comes(S606), the service server creates a short message for anniversary notification(S607) and transmits it to the subscriber through an SMSC(Short Message Service Center)(S608,S609). Receiving and confirming the short message, the subscriber attempts a call connection to a person related to the memorial day(S610).
