PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of efficiently utilizing storage capacity of an electronic mail distribution server apparatus. SOLUTION: The electronic mail distribution server apparatus does not store image data attached to electronic mail as they are but converts the image data into intermediate image data of a prescribed size once and stores the converted data. The prescribed data size is a largest data size among data sizes processable by mobile units of various models used by users Thus, the electronic mail distribution server apparatus has only to transmit the stored 20 KB image data to a mobile unit of, e.g. a model A without any modification and respectively converts the stored 20 KB image data into 10 KB image data, 8 KB image data, and 5 KB image data and transmits the converted data respectively in the case of transmitting the image data to mobile units of models B, C, D.
