PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kinesthetic sense giving type input device which is suitable for a short body in the vertical direction. SOLUTION: In the kinesthetic sense giving type input device, having a reduction gear mechanism which transmits rotation of a motor 10 retained by a motor support 7 to a control ring 22, the reduction gear mechanism comprises a center gear 25 mounted on a rotary shaft 10b of the motor 10, a plurality of relay gears 26 which are supported on gear holders (upper holder 23 and lower holder 21) fixed on the motor support 7 and engage with the center gear 25, and a rotatable internal gear 27, having a gear tooth section engaged with respective relay gears 26 in its internal peripheral surface; and a cylindrical rotary section of the control ring 22 is locked to the outer peripheral surface of the internal gear 27, so as to constitute both rotate in an integral manner.
