PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke system capable of selecting music matching the voice of a user. SOLUTION: The karaoke system includes a feature point DB 122, a karaoke DB 123, a voiceprint analysis section 106, a feature point retrieval device 121, and a karaoke playing section 103. The feature point DB 122 stores feature points of singing parts of original songs of respective musical pieces. The karaoke DB 123 stores playing data of the respective musical pieces. The voiceprint analysis section 106 analyzes an input speech signal and outputs a feature point as an analysis result. The feature point retrieval device 121 extracts a musical piece having a feature point of a singing part of an original song similar to the feature point output by the voiceprint analysis section 106. The karaoke playing section 103 obtains playing data of the musical piece extracted by the feature point retrieval device 121 from the karaoke DB 123 and plays the musical piece with the data.
