PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for surveying a water leakage position in a storage structure capable of specifying easily and surely the presence of water leakage in sealing works and the water leakage position thereof, without providing a special facility in the sealing works. SOLUTION: An area 16 with a specific resistance different from a peripheral specific resistance is formed by feeding a substance having an electric conductivity different from an electric conductivity of held water 12 of a waste 11, for example, a salt water 18, into the held water. A detector 7 is provided to detect the area 16 on a vertical cross-sectional face ranging over from a measuring line 20 on a waste surface up to a water barrier sheet 10 as the sealing works, using the area 16 as a kind of electric marker. A water leakage portion or the like is thereby surveyed easily in an existing disposal site with an incomplete system for surveying the water leakage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
