A connector for connecting hoses or tubes is constructed from a nipple (1) into which a hose (100) can be inserted, a cap nut (10), an inner member (2), a cap (5), and a tapered washer (7). Projections (5b) are formed on the outer periphery of the cap (5), and between the projections (5b) is formed a groove (5c). Projections (2b) are formed on the inner member (2) or on a tube body (21), and at positions corresponding to the projections on the outer periphery of the cap, the projections (2b) are capable of biting into the outer periphery of the hose (100).
