PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of always reproducing the same focus state irrespective of the presence or absence of a transparent cover by automatically correcting defocusing, even if defocusing occurs due to attaching of the cover having light transmttivity. SOLUTION: When the domed cover is detached to adjust focus, this imaging apparatus performs setting while previously shifting the focus of a lens by a predetermined amount. Thus, the imaging apparatus can be provided which can prevent defocusing due to a lens effect of the domed cover between in adjusting and in using. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
