METHOD FOR DYEING TEXTILES WITH VAT DYESTUFFS

The invention relates to a method for dyeing a textile material with at least one vat dyestuff. Said method is characterised in that a non-dyed textile material is treated with an aqueous dye containing (a) at least one vat dyestuff, (b) at least one reducing agent or (a') at least one vat dyestuff in a reduced form, and (c) at least one compound of general formula (Ia) or (Ib), wherein the variables have the following designations: R¹ represents hydrogen, phenyl, CH(CH₃)C₆H₅ or C₁-C₁₀ alkyl; R² is the same or different and represents hydrogen, phenyl or C₁-C₁₀ alkyl; AO represents alkylene oxide; EO represents ethylene oxide; a is the same or different and is selected from numbers ranging between 0 and 150; b is the same or different and selected from numbers ranging between 15 and 250, b being equal to or higher than a; d is the same or different and represents zero or one; and M is the same or different and is selected from alkali metals.
