<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable separation of a driver's seat section from a vehicle accommodating a plurality of persons and allow the separated driver's section to travel independently. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle 1 is comprised of an independent vehicle 2 which can be separated/detached from/to a vehicle body. The main body vehicle 3 other than the driver's seat section is formed same as a regular passenger vehicle. The independent vehicle 2 is comprised of an inverted pendulum vehicle, for example, which can independently travel after separated from the main body vehicle. When used by a driver, the independent vehicle is separated from a main body vehicle and independently travels. When used by many people, the independent vehicle and the main body vehicle are attached and used as a regular riding vehicle. The independent vehicle and the main body vehicle are equipped with a driving mechanism and a control mechanism individually. When the main body vehicle connected to (incorporated with) the independent vehicle travels, the main body vehicle is driven and controlled according to the travel demand issued by the independent vehicle. Such a construction enabling the separation of the vehicle enables the operation using two ways of the independent travel of the vehicle by oneself and a connected travel with a large number of passengers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
