<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material strip which has improved tensile strength and high resiliency and can be manufactured at a low cost and with design freedom, and a method for manufacturing this composite material strip. <P>SOLUTION: Each leaf strip 5 is bound together for each one fleece material coat 6 made of an elastic spun bonded nonwoven fabric material and a laminate strip 4. The laminate strip 4 is at least partially stuck with a planar fleece material layer 2, on the leaf side of the laminate strip. In addition, the space between the laminate strips 4 is bound with the planar fleece material layer 2. Besides, a fleece material is present in the form of a fleece material strip 7, and these fleece material strips are directed in parallel with the laminate strip 4.
