The invention relates to an optical laser source with lateral coupling by the gain, comprising at least one laser stripe (11) and at least one array of metal strips (21) placed on a substrate (10) laterally to said laser stripe. According to the invention, a compensation layer formed of contacts (22) of a material having a negative index variation is placed between the array of metal strips (21) and the substrate (10). The invention is for use in low-cost laser optical sources particularly for optical access networks. |
