A stop lamp switch in a vehicle is provided to maintain continuously a function thereof by forming a pair of contact points adjacent to each other on a contact point plate therein. A shaft is installed at an upper part of an upper case having a shape of pipe. A lower case is coupled with a lower part of the upper case. A spring is installed in the inside of the lower case. An auxiliary shaft(230) is installed in the inside of the shaft. A center axis of the auxiliary shaft corresponds to a center axis of the shaft. The auxiliary shaft is moved upwardly and downwardly by a user. A first and second contact plates(240a,240b) penetrate the auxiliary shaft. A pair of contact points are formed at edges of the first and second contact plates. A contact point part includes a first and second insulating plates(250a,250b) which are positioned between the first and second contact plates. The contact point is positioned between the upper and lower cases.
