A digital microwave repeater system is provided to achieve more stable, effective, and flexible application and network configuration by realizing the application of various signal processing techniques, such as a high-efficiency modulation and demodulation technique, an equalization technique, an error correction technique, etc. A digital microwave repeater system comprises a digital microwave frequency transceiving unit(20) and a digital microwave frequency receive-transmit unit(30) so as to transceive digital microwave frequency signals between a BTS(10) or a donor unit(11) and a remote unit(40). The digital microwave frequency transceiving unit(20) receives an IF signal or an I/Q signal from the BTS(10) or the donor unit(11), executes A/D conversion and processing for the received signal, and propagates it as a digital microwave frequency signal. Also the digital microwave frequency transceiving unit(20) executes processing and D/A conversion for a digital microwave frequency signal transmitted from the remote unit(40) and provides it to the BTS(10) or the donor unit(11). The digital microwave frequency receive-transmit unit(30) executes processing and D/A conversion for a digital microwave frequency signal transmitted from the BTS(10) or the donor unit(11) and provides it to the remote unit(40).
