To notify a mobile terminal apparatus of the status of the remaining amount of the battery charge of a wireless communication unit, thereby preventing the mobile terminal apparatus from becoming locked. A wireless communication unit (32) includes a battery (44) of a driving power supply; a battery charge remaining amount determining part (42) that determines the remaining amount of the charge in the battery (44); and a wireless authentication part (46) that uses wireless communication to transmit and receive authentication signals of wireless authentication. A mobile terminal apparatus (10) includes a display part (16) and a wireless authentication part (24) that uses the wireless communication to transmit and receive the authentication signals. When the remaining amount of the charge of the battery (44) determined by the battery charge remaining amount determining part (42) goes below a predetermined value, the wireless authentication part (46) uses a control signal to notify the mobile terminal apparatus (10) of that effect. When receiving the control signal, the mobile terminal apparatus (10) removes its usage restriction regardless of the status of the wireless authentication.
