<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puncture device and a guidewire insertion tool which are capable of, for example, inserting a guidewire into vessels without fail while preventing the tip section of the guidewire from bending. <P>SOLUTION: The guidewire insertion tool has the puncture device. The puncture device has: an insertion passage where a guidewire 2 is inserted; a valve body 434 which is mounted to close the insertion passage and on which a slit 435 is formed; a form control section 451 which has an opening adjacent to the slit 435, has a substantially constant inner diameter equal to or a little larger than the maximum outer diameter of the guidewire 2, and controls the form of the guidewire 2; and an introduction member 44 having a guiding section 452 which decreases inner diameter gradually as the form control section 451 is approached and guides the tip of the guidewire 2 to the form control section 451. When the guidewire 2 is inserted through the insertion passage, the guidewire 2 goes through the slit 435 after its form is controlled to be almost straight as its tip section goes through the form control section 451. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
