FIELD EMISSION CATHODE DEVICE AND FIELD EMISSION DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field emission cathode device capable of increasing current density of field emission; and to provide a field emission display device.

SOLUTION: This field emission cathode device includes: a cathode; a grid; a separation part arranged between them; and a field emission means electrically connected to the cathode. In this case, the grid is so structured that at least one-side surface thereof is faced to the field emission means adjacent to the grid. By virtue of the field emission cathode device, a threshold voltage of field emission is reduced to increase the density of an emission current. As an embodiment of this invention, this field emission display device using the cathode device is provided.
