PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester composition and a polyester film excellent in surface properties, mechanical properties, a traveling property and heat resistance. SOLUTION: The polyester film is obtained by forming a coating layer having 0.005-50μm thickness and containing particles having≤100 nm average short diameter (ASP) and 20-1,000 particle diameter ratio (ALP/ASP) of average long diameter (ALP) to the ASP on at least one surface.
