A band binding apparatus of a coil is provided to prevent the coil from unwinding from welding failure, and to improve working efficiency by automatically binding a band with a rivet. A band binding apparatus of a coil includes a system frame part connecting to a band feeder, moving into a center of a coil and having a band guide for a loop of a band(2), and a band binding head part(30) having a loop guide unit(40) moving up and down in front of the system frame part and guiding the loop of the band, a feeding unit(50) arranged at a side of the loop guide unit to feed the band, a band cutting unit(60) cutting the band, a band assembling unit(70) moving back and forth to bind the band by punching and riveting and a rivet supply unit feeding a rivet to a lower part of the band assembling unit. The system frame part includes a frame base placed on an upper rail of a base and connected to a cylinder and a frame vertically installed, and moves to the center of the coil on a skid. The band binding head part is moved up and down by the cylinder and arranged in the middle of the frame. The band guide is connected to left and right sides of the band binding head part, and extended as an arc.
