Exhaust line and method for regenerating a soot filter

The line has a soot filter (12), and a regenerating device (16) to regenerate the filter and including a processing unit (20). The unit (20) introduces an additive containing a catalyzer for the regeneration, or an ignition product downstream an internal combustion engine and upstream the filter into the exhaust gas line. The processing unit has a storage container (22) for the additive, and a dosing unit connected with a control unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for regenerating a soot filter, which is arranged in an exhaust gas line of an internal combustion engine.
