A composite retaining wall is provided to have high economical efficiency and constructability by installing a C-shaped connection device having a coupler to a reinforced concrete wall in advance, connecting a horizontal reinforcement member to the coupler and fixing the horizontal reinforcement member to the backside of rear soil. A composite retaining wall contains: a reinforced concrete wall supported and installed to a foundation without a footing and fitted with a reinforcement assembly(210) composed of reinforcing bars(211); a horizontal reinforcement member(300) composed of steel bars or steel wires, installed to the upper ground of the reinforced concrete wall, connected with a fixture of rear soil and the reinforced concrete wall and provided with a screw fastening part(310) to be connected with the reinforced concrete wall; and a connection device(400) composed of a connector(410) buried in the reinforced concrete wall to cover up the arranged reinforcing bars horizontally and placed toward the backside of the concrete wall, and a coupler(420) provided with a fastening hole having a screw thread and exposing to the surface of the backside of the wall. |
