OLD AND NEW BRIDGE SUPERSTRUCTURE URGENT EXCHANGE EQUIPMENT AND A METHOD

An urgent replacement apparatus for replacing an old upper structure with a new upper structure of a bridge is provided to exclude the installation of a temporary bridge and not to put the citizens to inconvenience caused by the traffic control by replacing the deteriorated upper structure with a new upper structure quickly, safely and exactly. An urgent replacement apparatus for replacing an old upper structure with a new upper structure of a bridge is composed of a structure movement device(A). The structure movement device comprises: a concrete foundation(100) composed of a horizontal unit(110) formed to have the smooth surface by placing concrete around a pier or an abutment of the existing upper structure and a vertical unit(120) formed to be projected to the appointed height from both ends of the horizontal unit to prevent the subsidence of a rail support; a rail support(200) installed on the contact part of the horizontal part and the vertical part of the concrete foundation on the lower side of the pier or the abutment and composed of a support beam composed of many horizontal and vertical beams, a reinforcement beam welded on the vertical and horizontal center of the support beam for reinforcement, and a rail fixed on the inside of the uppermost end of the support beam and the top of the uppermost end of the reinforcement beam; a support unit composed of a support installed to the upper center of the rail support and formed by welding beams in the appointed shape, and a fixed plate fixed on the support by a fixing wedge and formed in the rectangular shape to bear up against the load of new and old upper structures and to move easily in the lateral direction; a movement unit composed of support bodies formed on the support longitudinally and many wheels fixed on both sides of each support body to move along the rail of the rail support; many new and old upper structure lifting jacks installed on the top of the support bodies to lift up the existing upper structure or to descend the newly-established upper structure; an overturn prevention unit installed on the new and old upper structure lifting jack and composed of a horizontal unit formed in the similar shape to the cross-sectional shape of new and old upper structures and many vertical units intersecting at right angles on the horizontal unit to hold up the new and old upper structures not to overturn while moving; and a hydraulic jack fixed over the top of the fixed plate and the side of the movement unit to push out the new and old upper structures.
