A method for correcting the distortion of screen through a lens in a digital camera is provided to promptly correct the distortion of screen by correcting pixel coordinates through pixel coordinate values of a predetermined grid pattern and displacement values for the pixel coordinate values. An image, which is photographed by a lens, is temporally stored. Respective distortion pixel coordinate values are corrected into ideal pixel coordinate values based on displacement values stored in a displacement value storing unit(S15). The distortion pixel coordinate values form a grid pattern in the photographed image. The pixels around the ideal pixel coordinate values are interpolated by pixel data of the corrected ideal pixel coordinate values(S17).
