Provided are a method for washing the surface of a fruit and a vegetable without minimizing the damage of and stress of a fruit and a vegetable, and a system for washing the surface of a fruit and a vegetable. The method comprises the steps of spraying the compressed micro-air to the fruit and vegetable supplied continuously by a transfer conveyer to remove the impurities on the surface of a fruit and a vegetable; spraying the compressed water to the fruit and vegetable to wash them; spraying the compressed air to the washed fruit and vegetable to remove the water on the surface of the fruit and vegetable; and sterilizing and drying the fruit and vegetable.
