A headphone whose input cord is not unintentionally taken up has take-up means (14, 15) urging a cord built- in in a housing (1, 2) so as to be taken up, ratchet means (20, 20a, 22, 22a) for stopping the cord from being taken up in cooperation with the take-up means and allowing the cord from being pulled out, cancel means (22b, 25) for canceling the cord take-up stop set by ratchet means, and ear-hang arm (7) urged to the housing side.
