PERCUSSIVE MECHANISM WITH AN ELECTRODYNAMIC LINER DRIVE

A percussive mechanism, which is provided in the form of an, e.g. pneumatic spring percussive mechanism, comprises an electrodynamic linear drive, a drive piston (1), which can be reciprocally moved inside a percussive mechanism housing (9) by the linear drive, and a percussive piston (3). An additional hollow space (14, 17) is provided in front of and/or behind the drive piston (1) and can be isolated at least in part from the surrounding area so that a pneumatic spring can be created in the additional hollow space (14, 17). The pneumatic spring slows the drive piston (1) at its returning points and facilitates a returning motion without loading the electrodynamic linear drive.
