The present invention is an adjustable simulation tool comprising a frame and a means for imparting a controllable simulation of ride characteristics to the frame. Activation of the simulation tool simulates the ride characteristics of the final configuration of a customized bike. The present invention is also a method of using the simulation tool to create a specification related to the rider's body and based on the simulation. The specification may be used to manufacture or sell a customized bike, accessories, or a combination thereof. In an embodiment, a plurality of biographical data about the rider is collected and may be used to customize the exterior of the customized bike. In an embodiment, rider may preselect the adjustment of at least one of the adjustable features prior to the simulation.
