A door assembly (10) for an EMI shielded room includes a door structure defining an inner space parallel to the door faces. Plates (50, 52) are mounted in the space f or movement toward and away from the door edges. Support assemblies (40) and guide assemblies (58) precisely regulate the plate movement. A pneumatic bladder (66) spaced inward from the door edges forces the plates to move outward and return springs (70) retract the plates when the bladder is vented. The outer borders (54) of the plates carry bumpers (80) that force flexible contact members (7 6) into engagement with the jamb (14) and threshold (18) of a doorway.
