PROCESS FOR COMPLETE EXPLOITATION OF COPPER, ZINC AND NICKEL FROM GALVANIC MUDS

The invention relates to a process recovering and exploiting copper, zinc and nickel from galvanic muds. After the metal solubilization by a two-stage treatment with H2SO4, the copper is recovered from the solution by carburization or extraction with organic solvents, while the zinc and nickel are recovered by a three-stage precipitation, at various pH ranges. The resulting industrial residue is exploited by being immobilized in siliceous matrix by the admixture of Portland cement.
