#CMT# #/CMT# Panes for stained glass windows are assembled in networks made of a flexible plastic material and/or an elastomer, able to be reinforced with metal wire, glass wire, carbon fibres, textile fibres or composite tissues of one or more of these materials, and suspended on a beam or retained in a rigid frame with the aid of a device that comprises a section, a flat for distributing the pressure and some rivets/bolts to assure the tightening and the retention of the network. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The invention is used for the production of stained glass windows in the form of a flexible network #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The invention overcomes the problems associated with the fragility of conventional stained glass windows by using a flexible network, which may be suspended or flexible and fixed in a rigid frame. It avoids the use of lead which is toxic and simplifies the fabrication operation whilst ensuring excellent sealing of the finished article. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing illustrates a joint according to the invention that assures the sealing of the flexible network containing the glass panes. 2 : Glass panes; 8 : Joint; 10 : Plastic or elastomer layer; 12 : Rings/buckles. #CMT#CERAMICS AND GLASS : #/CMT# The panes are embedded and glued in the network, the profile of the panes being modified into a dovetail to improve their embedment (claimed).
