SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING LEAK CURRENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a leak current caused by ground insulation resistance, and to shut off an electric line.

SOLUTION: The surrounding of a load circuit 6 is covered with a conductive material 7 electrically connected to a ground wire N of an electric line 3 to be measured. The leak current detecting system comprises: a connection determining device 5 for determining whether a plug 1 formed on one end side of the electric line 3 is appropriately connected to an outlet; and a leak current detector 4 for detecting leak current Igr caused by the ground insulation resistance that flows in the electric line 3.
